ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

- Works closely with Controller and CFO as contract monitor for all agency contracts.
- Prepares annual program budget reports.
- Assists with the monthly closing.
- Assists with preparation of financial statements.
- Handles special projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Complete detailed weekly and monthly reports containing financial data.
- Work with detailed contracts and general ledger information.
- Work and communicate effectively with staff, vendors and other professionals.
- Work effectively in a sometimes-pressured environment.
- Exercise appropriate judgment and decision-making.
- Be well organized, flexible, and self-disciplined.
- Maintains accuracy and timeliness in completion of all tasks.
- Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
- Attends all staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured from the Chief Financial Officer.’
- Meets the standards set for performance in all aspects of job duties.
- Meets the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.
- Drives on agency business using personal vehicle; may be required to transport clients, equipment, protected health information (PHI), and/or confidential personnel or TPCP agency information.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited university or college with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and two (2) years of accounting experience.
LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
- Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
