Position Summary:
Working as part of a team with dedication, drive, and efficiency, the Inventory Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with movement of inventory within the Turning Point Fulfillment Center (TPFC) as well as inventory backorders, obsolete item removal, order status tracking, return processing, and overall inventory accuracy. The Inventory Support Specialist will assist with storing, moving, replenishing, pulling, and tracking product for order fulfillment. This could include bulk orders, Bible Strong Partner mailings, or other movement of product. The Inventory Support Specialist will assist with cycle counts of on-hand inventory. Working in support of the Inventory Coordinator, the Inventory Support Specialist will work with Third Party Logistics (3PLs) providers to identify and resolve backordered items and products. The Inventory Support Specialist will report directly to the Fulfillment and Inventory Manager and is responsible for assisting with matters related to inventory movement and accuracy, order status investigation, and backorder resolution within the Distribution Center.
Essential Functions:
- Inventory Supplies, Equipment and Packaging Support
- Provide status, quantity and location of Distribution Center inventory
- Make recommendations for inventory quantities and locations.
- Monitor packaging and supplies for shipping
- Inventory Shipping and Receiving
- Assist with receiving products and purchase orders into inventory
- Prepare and assist with outgoing shipments
- Assist with efficient put away of all products received into the storage racks
- Verify received products are entered into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system accurately
- Inventory Backorders
- Run daily product backorder reports
- Investigate, identify, and resolve backordered customer orders
- Point of contact and coordinator at the TPFC for notifications to TP Departments and 3PLs regarding backordered products
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve backorders from those locations
- Update the TPFC ERP once backordered products are resolved
- Customer Order Processing and Tracking
- Assist with project or product fulfillment as needed
- Order status review, tracking, resolution, and updating in the ERP
- Pull product for internal transfers and report in the ERP
- Product Removal
- Working closely with the Inventory Coordinator and the TP Purchasing Team, identify products that qualify for removal form inventory
- Assist with disposition of discontinued or obsolete product in compliance with Turning Point procedures
- Identify lists and quantities of products approved for removal
- Identify products for donation and coordinate their delivery
- Contact and coordinate with appropriate company for disposal of qualifying products
- Returned Item Processing
- Work with Customer Service to process all returned products
- Follow the RMA process and ensure it is up to date
- Determine which products qualify to return to inventory and which are available for other disposition
- Make appropriate adjustment in WMS for items returned to inventory
- Collect and coordinate delivery of items for the Free Materials project
- Inventory Movement and Audit Support
- Assist the Inventory Auditor with movement of inventory
- Backfill bays and bins as needed
- Replenish picking bins daily
- Pull product for bulk orders
- Assist with cycle counts
- Maintain all work areas in a clean, neat and organized condition at all times
- Backup Inventory Auditor duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Desired 1-2 years of experience in inventory control or oversight of inventory management.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak to individuals and groups comfortably.
- Exhibited attention to detail and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and to communicate inventory concerns effectively.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Aptitude with technology tools and resources.
- Self-starter with multi-tasking abilities.
- Must be proactive and accountable with positive attitude.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, able to interact well with direct and cross-functional team members.
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint).
- ERP system or CRM systems experience a plus, especially Studio Enterprise.

- Position is full time, Monday through Friday.
- Position is at the Turning Point Fulfillment Center.
