Using Dr. Jeremiah’s teaching, we capture, curate, and communicate Bible Strong content through the power of media to share the Gospel with theological and creative excellence. Dr. Jeremiah is committed to teaching the entirety of God’s Word to the world, and his teaching is delivered in multiple languages to approximately 3 billion people across the globe through Turning Point’s various media channels.

Position Summary:

Turning Point Ministries’ full-time Television Editor / Associate Producer is a contributing member of the Long Form Team within Turning Point Production, reporting to the Senior Television Producer / Director. Responsibilities include organizing video projects and digital media assets, program and message editing, mastering, versioning, and creating on-screen graphics for Turning Point Television.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with and assist the Senior Producer / Director with pre-production tasks for the weekly Turning Point Television Program
• Prepare weekend television program assets for editorial
• Gather and/or prepare program logs, sermon transcripts, and other materials
• Create projects and ensure proper settings
• Digitize/Import and organize digital media assets within projects (e.g., Music, VOs, Graphics, Short-Form Opens/Spots, etc.)
• Gather and/or create pre-production documentation
• Edit and master messages (sermons) for programs
  • Edit message content using marked-up transcripts and preaching notes
  • Create and/or version on-screen graphics for advertising and sermon support
    • Message Title
    • Outline Points
    • Scripture Readings
    • Special Illustrations
    • Perform color correction and adjust skin detail in a manner consistent with Turning Point broadcast standards
• Perform domestic broadcast versioning – customize 27:30, 28:30, 57:30, and 58:30 broadcasts for specific markets and networks within the United States
• Collaborate and assist the Producer / Senior Editor of Turning Point Daytime Television, as needed
• Miscellaneous production activities (Including but not limited to)
  • Assist with studio and location shoots/events
    • Camera setup and operation
    • Dolly setup and operation
  • Assist with television and digital program distribution

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred
• MUST have a personal desire and drive to produce exceptional video content on a deadline
• MUST be an independent self-starter who embraces effective teamwork
• MUST be an organized, detail-oriented, and highly productive person
• Able to receive constructive criticism and direction
• Has a foundational knowledge of the production process and technical equipment
• Proficiency with video editing software (Avid MC, Resolve, Adobe CC, etc.)
• Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe CC, Cinema 4D, Fusion, etc.)
• Desire to learn new software and new ways of working
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software applications
• Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull equipment weighing 50 lbs.
