POSITION SUMMARY
The Billing and Intake Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth admission processes and accurate billing operations. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong organizational skills to manage the intake of new residents, handle billing and insurance tasks, and provide essential administrative support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct initial assessments and intake procedures for new residents and outpatient clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits and assist residents with understanding their financial responsibilities.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, follow up on denials, and resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all billing and intake activities.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate resident admissions and discharges.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and insurance companies, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Assist with other administrative duties as needed to support the facility's operations.
