What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Coordinator position at Turning Point Recovery Center of New Mexico?
The Admissions Department assumes the responsibility for facilitating the care of all potential clients from their first contact and throughout their intake process. The team ensures prospects, clients, referral sources, and community communication outlets are welcomed and treated with the highest level of respect while communicating the abilities and services of Turning Point Recovery Center.
The Admissions Coordinator will perform all duties necessary to coordinate the efficient flow of care throughout the admission process. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to assessing a client’s needs, establishing rapport, collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying benefits, coordinating medical and clinical assessments, and being available for on-call shifts.
*On-site attendance is required. This is not a remote work position.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Maintaining confidentiality and a working knowledge of HIPAA laws.
- Working with sensitive and confidential material.
- Knowledge of Substance Abuse services
- Two years customer service experience
- Working in a team environment.
Education:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- BA, BS, degree preferred.
Skills:
- High level of charisma, punctuality, reliability, and integrity
- Must display very good organization and time management skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
- High level of emotional and social intelligence.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and internet software.
- Basic operation of a workstation (turning on/off, knowledge of basic functions and components).
- Use/storage/maintenance of multiple usernames and passwords.
- Candidates in recovery for 2 or more years encouraged to apply.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
