A Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and customer preferences. They ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment and working in a timely manner.

What does a Cook do?:
- Cooks will continually demonstrate the ability to produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the needs of the guest.
- Always follows all approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
- Consistently demonstrates an understanding of assisting in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste. Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc.
- Continually identifies, utilizes and builds knowledge base of specific culinary terms per assigned outlet (i.e. grilling, dicing, etc.).
To be successful as a Cook, you'll need:
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
- Must possess reading ability; schedules, menus, etc.
- Must be able to operate a steamer, fryer, oven, etc.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 75 pounds
