Job Description
We are seeking a Public Safety Officer - Building Enforcement to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and integrity of buildings and properties within our community.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing permit applications, construction plans, and site designs to ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety regulations, and zoning standards. You will also conduct regular inspections of construction sites and occupied buildings to identify potential violations, provide detailed reports, and recommend solutions to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular field inspections throughout all phases of construction, from planning to final certificate of occupancy.
- Conduct field investigations; and perform all required follow-up functions to gain compliance, including letters, inspections, calls, meetings, and discussions to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
- Review project plans for all new buildings, alterations, additions, and demolitions.
- Enforce policies and procedures; Maintain a thorough understanding of established company and departmental policies and procedures.
