What you will do as a Safety Officer:
- Operate and monitor CCTV system. Use footage to identify potential security risks or incidents.
- Communicate and enforce safety and security policies and procedures while maintaining respect and using tact.
- Regularly patrol facility for the purpose of detecting infractions, monitoring risks, and ensuring safety.
- Respond to emergency situations and activates Community Center safety and emergency response plans as needed.
- Control access to restricted areas during events in a professional and courteous manner.
To be successful as a Safety Officer, you'll need:
- Minimum of 1 year security experience.
- Certification (or become certified) in basic First Aid, CPR, AED.
- Experience in dealing with emergency situations.
- To be willing to obtain NYS Security Guard License; possession of a valid driver’s license preferred.
