Via Elegante Assisted Living and Memory Care is the premier provider of Assisted Living and Memory Care services in Southern Arizona. As we prepare for rapid growth, we seek a dynamic HR leader to join us as Regional Director of Human Resources, who can be both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor, to help strengthen our people processes and drive our teams to provide exceptional resident care.
In the coming year, we plan to implement a new HRIS system and are considering transitioning from a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) model to a fully in-house platform for managing benefits, employee scheduling, and overall employee management. We are also preparing for significant growth and prefer candidates with a proven track record in handling the HR complexities associated with opening new facilities, acquiring existing ones, or merging with other entities.
The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with senior leaders to understand business goals and align HR strategies with these objectives, fostering a proactive approach to people management.

Manage and oversee all systems, processes, and external vendor relationships to ensure oversight of benefits, compliance, and payroll.

Oversee HRIS transition from PEO ensuring seamless transition and execution.

Provide leadership and guidance on HR policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Lead initiatives for organizational effectiveness, talent planning, and workforce development to support scaling and expansion.

Champion company values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

Implement strategies to promote engagement, retention, wellbeing and overall employee satisfaction.

Oversee and manage all hiring and recruitment efforts to meet 24/7 demands.

Serve as an escalation point for complex HR issues, offering expert advice and solutions.

Conduct needs analyses and create, implement, and monitor relevant training programs.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Use HR metrics, data, and insights to drive decisions and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

6-8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Director or senior leadership role with direct reports and a proven track record of success.

You must reside in the Tucson or Sierra Vista areas, as this is an on-site position with flexibility to work at any of our Tucson or Sierra Vista locations, depending on your preferences and business needs.

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving organizational goals.

Proficiency in HR information systems and process.

Comprehensive knowledge of all applicable federal, state and city employment and labor laws.

Strong competence within the HR function including employee relations, coaching, compliance, communications, training and change management

Excellent project management and execution skills with limited oversight

Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, MS Teams and PowerPoint) with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

HR certifications SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.

Experience scaling a company through hypergrowth.

Experience working with a 24/7 workforce, preferably in healthcare or senior care.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $120,000-130,000 annually, based on experience
