Job Purpose Summary:
The AutoCAD Technician is responsible for prioritizing, creating, maintaining and accepting work that is up to TKNS standards and within the expected timelines.
Performance Measurable:
Position will be measured by the quality and timeliness of job tasks, work flow, effectiveness of communication with superiors, co-workers and customers, and behaviors displayed in accordance with our Company’s Core Values.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Work closely with Lead CAD Technician in prioritizing workload, including outsourced work.
- Work closely with Lead CAD Technician in assuring efficient work flow and communication from Field Engineering Notes through hand-off to permitting.
- Assure CAD drawings meet Company’s standards.
- Create preliminary aerial photos to support Engineering.
- Create or modify deliverables based on field notes, marked-up copies and/or verbal instructions.
- Create CAD prints suitable for permitting and construction from engineering field notes.
- Ensure that the deliverables and the tasks are completed on time and meet client's QA requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong skills with CAD required, experience/education required.
- Previous Telecom CAD drafting experience a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD Map 2017 3D preferred.
- Experience with Google Mapping a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to read and interpret field work notes with high attention to detail required.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a willingness to learn.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to communicate with field engineering, co-workers and supervision as needed.
