What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center and Central Office Cable Technician position at TurnKey Network Solutions?
Our company is in need of an experienced data center and central office installation technician. This individual should know the basic infrastructure of each including cable racking, fiber guide, and 2 or 4 post relay rack or bay construction and basic grounding practices. Applicant should have basic D/C and A/C power knowledge with a stronger emphasis on -48v DC. Applicant should be well rehearsed in copper cabling terminations including but not limited to Amphenol, wire wrapping and MS2 connectors.
Basic tasks will include climbing ladders and working in lifts when necessary. Construct data center or central office infrastructure, racking and fiber guide. Pull and terminate coax, ethernet or multi-count copper or fiber optic cabling. Candidate should expect these same skills to be applied into commercial building type atmospheres. Conduit placement and bending will be a part of the job and would be taught.
Leading candidates will have additional knowledge in fiber construction, splicing and terminations. The successful candidate will be an independent thinking with self-motivation and eager to learn new skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
