Concrete Craftsman

Turnkey Processing Solutions is in a growth segment of the mineral processing and bulk material handling industries. We are a service business that provides system integration, consulting, engineering and design, construction planning and project management for clients in the aggregate, cement, frac sand, industrial minerals, heavy metal mining and transportation industries. We focus on providing the optimal solutions to our clients. We have the need for experienced Concrete Craftworkers for projects in various locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform form carpentry activities. Tasks include but are not limited to setting and stripping forms, fabricating concrete beams, columns, and panels, installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, chamfer, etc.
• Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, bolts or form hardware.
• Dig ditches and levels earth to grade specifications, using pick, shovels and rakes.
• Grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
• Mix concrete and mortar.
• Clean construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
• Assist to align, straighten, plumb and square forms for installation.
• Construct forms, then assist in raising them to the required elevation
• Perform concrete finisher activities. Tasks include but are not limited to placement and finishing of concrete according to the projects specifications using a variety of hand or power tools (rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, float, etc.) Concrete repair, concrete curing, concrete cutting, chipping, grinding, drilling, etc. using power or pneumatic tools.
• Assist with non-concrete specific construction tasks.
• Install and maintain erosion and sedimentation control devices.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with established customer standards or required specifications and guidelines, and in support of our company quality standards.
• Initiate and maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
• Coordinate installation and work efforts with management and assign work according to prepared schedules.
• In addition, may perform all duties of General Laborer, Skilled Laborer.

• Previous experience working in Industrial Plants or on Commercial Structures
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be willing to work long hours and extended work weeks.
• Ability to work at heights without fear.
• Able to read blueprint and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Able to look at flat drawings or pictures and visualize how they would look as assembled equipment.
• Use logical procedures in work process.
• Plan work and solve problems.
• Knows hand signals for crane operation.
• Make decisions based on measurable information.
• Must know all safety regulations for MSHA and OSHA always follow them.
• Perform a variety of duties which may change often
• Concrete Craftsman must be physically able to do the following
• Coordinate eye-hand movements:
• Use hands and fingers fully: reach for. Manipulate, and feel objects, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
• Lift or carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Stoop, lay, or squat for periods of time.
