Description
American Bin & Conveyor, LLC is looking for an Industrial Painter at their Burlington, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This position reports to the shop foreman and is responsible for applying paint and other types of coatings on manufactured goods and structures by using rollers, brushes, and sprayers. This job is a multi-skilled position and requires a keen eye for detail and physical dexterity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mix and thin paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency according to customer requests.
- Regulate controls on equipment and paint booth to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
- Operate lifting and moving devises to move materials and equipment to access areas to be painted.
- Rack work pieces on skids, inspect, mark, and transfer finished products to staging / shipping areas.
- Responsible for cleanliness of paint booth, paint guns, spraying equipment and replacement of screens and filters.
- Maintain records of paint issued and inventory of supplies on hand.
- Initiate and maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
- Complies with all company safety policies and procedures and practices safe work habits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience as a painter in an industrial environment preferred.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
- Agree to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the company.
- Successfully pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical.
