Job Summary:
We are seeking a Title Abstractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in research, law office procedures, and real estate law. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
Duties:
- Conduct title searches and examine real estate documents to produce accurate abstract reports
- Analyze legal descriptions, deeds, and other documents related to property titles
- Utilize GIS software and other tools for mapping and data analysis
- Collaborate with title processors, attorneys, and clients to ensure smooth title transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving title issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2 years experience abstracting title in West Virginia; familiarity with IDX systems a must
- Must be local to north central WV with the ability to travel to local courthouses to conduct research when necessary.
- Knowledge of real estate law and title examination procedures
- Proficiency in GIS software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues
