What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Paralegal position at TurnPoint Services?
POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal Team in their day-to-day transactional and contract-based activities. In this role, you will assist in contract negotiation, oversee entity management and corporate governance activities, assist the CLO with various compliance activities, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in Brand level contract review and negotiation
- Organize and maintain an entity management database, including complete minute books and annual updates for all subsidiary entities
- Organize and maintain a licensing database, including business and master license information and updates for all Brands
- Draft license agreements and other legal documents
- Act as a liaison to internal teams and our Brands
- Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of relevant corporate experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Proficiency with CSC
- Working knowledge of contract terminology, with the ability to negotiate fundamental concepts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and customer-service mentality
- Superior multitasking, organizational, and project management skills
- Able to self-manage and be productive in a remote work environment with minimal oversight
- Able to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion
REQUIREMENTS
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft applications (TEAMS, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe required; Experience with Legal Tracker, Lease Query, Smart Sheets, and Power BI a plus
Work Environment: If working remotely, a dedicated workspace with minimal distraction is required
