We are looking for a Licensed Therapist with a friendly demeanor and strong analytical abilities to join us at our new location in McAllen, TX.
As a behavioral therapist, you will be responsible for delivering all therapy services including providing therapy sessions to clients in an outpatient setting and monitoring patient progress. This therapist will be integral to a comprehensive care team with board-certified physician leadership. Requirements
- Present self and the clinic in a professional clean manner
- Interact with patients in a friendly manner and contribute to a positive experience
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all conversations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of patients
- Provide excellent therapeutic services that meet the individual patient’s needs
- Complete patient-related documentation and communicate relevant clinical information to both the patient, referring provider, and family
- Experience leading IOP and group therapies is a plus
- Support patients and their families with evidence-based therapy in both group and individual settings
- Evaluate client needs and create individual interventions while establishing person-centered goals for behavior modifications
- Proven work experience in a therapeutic role
- Proper certification and licensing
- Training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and/or training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a plus
- Professional attitude and genuine care for helping others
- Must dress professionally
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience with leading group therapies is a plus
- Must provide a comfortable atmosphere for patients and demonstrate sympathy
- Must pass a background check
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed
- State license that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working in behavioral health
