South Texas Mental Health Associates is a growing private practice that offers traditional and innovative Psychiatric services. These services include Psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy, as well as TMS and IV Ketamine for treatment of depression. We strive to provide the best health care & customer service in a very professional, yet personalized, warm, and friendly environment.
We are looking for enthusiastic, high-energy, motivated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Interested candidates must have experience, and must be dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally. Opportunities to join a team of like-minded people who are at the forefront of mental health do not come often.
We treat patients with all stages of mental disease, from severe mental illness with complete impairment, to first responders with PTSD and adjustment disorders in corporate executives.
Requirements :
- Create a positive, relaxing, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for patients.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and succinctly with patients and providers.
- Answer phone calls, take and transmit messages; monitor and respond to voice and email.
- Assist patients with check in and check out.
- Assist with intake and screening of new patients.
- Complete various types of paperwork for patients or insurance
- Accurately document and maintain medical records.
- Maintain clean, neat, and orderly front office and waiting room.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time independently and in a team setting.
- Schedule appointments and maintain provider schedules.
- Collect patient payments, deductibles, and patient balances.
- Ensure company policies of financial agreements are met.
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Data entry of charges and payments
- Maintain confidentiality and apply strict standards of privacy and HIPAA compliance.
- Other duties as needed to promote high quality environment and patient care.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
