Turnwell Mental Health of South Carolina seeks a motivated and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with mental health experience to join our clinical team of board-certified psychiatrists and therapists to serve our partner outpatient addiction recovery clinic in Charleston. The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. This is a part-time, two or three days a week, opportunity.

Requirements
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
- Comfortable seeing patients for mental health and/or addiction treatment.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
- Offer patient education and counseling to promote mental health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) effectively for patient management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
- Complete end-of-day summaries to ensure smooth transitions and clear communication with all team members
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Must possess an active & unrestricted license to practice in South Carolina.
- Eligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare.
- Preferred to possess a current board certification by a national certifying body as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.

- This is a 1099 contract position.
