Summary:
As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will play a crucial role in identifying, documenting, and verifying video game accessory issues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable player experience. You will work closely with developers, designers, and producers to test new features, track bugs, and help maintain the overall quality of our accessories.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases to identify software defects and gameplay issues.
- Report bugs clearly and concisely using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across multiple platforms.
- Reproduce and verify bugs reported by other testers or players.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to troubleshoot issues and provide feedback.
- Ensure game performance, stability, and compliance with platform requirements.
- Test new features, patches, and updates before release.
- Assist in developing and refining QA processes to improve testing efficiency.
Education/Experience/Skills
- 1 years of experience in QA testing (preferably in the gaming industry).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking software (e.g., JIRA and TestRail).
- Basic understanding of game development processes and pipelines.
- Experience testing on multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics.
- Experience with automation testing tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#) for test automation.
- Experience with compliance testing (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo).
- Understanding of network and performance testing.
