What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board of Health Member At-Large position at Tuscarawas County Health Department?
The Board of Health is a public body that governs the Tuscarawas County Health Department. Board member candidates should be interested in making a difference in the health of our community. Applicants must reside inside the Tuscarawas County limits but outside the New Philadelphia City limits. Preference will be given to candidates with business, environmental health, or law enforcement backgrounds.
Board candidates are appointed to 5 year terms by the Tuscarawas County District Advisory Council (DAC).
Board of Health meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 3:15pm at the Tuscarawas County Health Department. Committees meet at 2:00 pm immediately before the regularly scheduled monthly meetings.
