Job Overview:
We are seeking hardworking and dedicated BOH team members to join our kitchen crew. As a BOH team member, you will play a vital role in preparing and executing high-quality meals while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and ensure that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is stored properly and in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained.
- Follow health and safety standards, including proper food handling, cleaning, and storage.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and report when supplies are running low.
- Help to receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Clean kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and other items as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other BOH team members to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
- Adhere to all kitchen policies and procedures, including portion control, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot, noisy environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food Handler Certification or any relevant kitchen certifications.
- Experience with food prep, cooking, and cleaning in a professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and how to maintain it.
