Tuskegee-Macon County Head Start/Early Head Start is seeking a Teacher Assistant to work at one of our 4 centers located in Tuskegee and Macon County.

ROLE SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in employing curricula that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of preschool children, ages 3-5, from diverse backgrounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent and a Child Development Accreditation (CDA) with (1) year experience in multi-family child care
- Must meet criteria for background screening as required for child care licensing and federal regulations.
PREFERRED
- AA degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with experience in teaching preschool children
