Position Title
Clinical Instructor of Clinical Pathology
Job Summary
Interpret diagnostic clinical pathology data in consultation with the clinical pathologist .
Essential Job Duties
- Interpret diagnostic clinical pathology data in consultation with the clinical pathologist .
- Write and edit cytology and hematology reports.
- Teach veterinary, graduate and undergraduate students.
- Operate diagnostic machinery and run routine and special tests in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory.
- Provide scientific guidance and leadership to the Department of Pathobiology.
- Participate in scholarly works, including weekly rounds, research, and publications. Other duties may be assigned by the Clinical Pathologist on duty.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in veterinary medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
- Minimum one year of experience in Clinical Pathology with the desire to attain board certification or board eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP). Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
