Job Summary
The candidate must have demonstrated customer service experience and be able to provide excellent customer service with a positive, helpful attitude.
Essential Job Duties
- Receive cash payments for fees, bills, loans, deposits, etc.
- Receive and process cash reports from departments.
- Issue official receipts for all cash payments and deposits received from individuals and departments.
- Group and classify money and cash items; prepare adding machine tapes for each group according to the headings to the cash proof form.
- Stamp all checks daily.
- Assist in verifying the daily transactions.
- Verify and transmit all credit card payments at the end of day.
- Keep record of all scholarship checks to posted
- Verify the accuracy of student charges for tuition, fees, room and board reported on billing statements.
- Answer telephone and assist parents, and students with questions.
- Assist with registration.
- Make bank deposits.
- Post lockbox payments to students’ accounts and other payment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)
- High school diploma (Some college, preferred).
- Two years of cashier experience
- Must have demonstrated customer service experience; must be able to provide excellent customer service with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Business Calculator and copier
- Must be trustworthy in handling large sums of money and confidential information.
- Experience in College/University business office, preferred.
