Job Summary
The Health Sciences Faculty will have the responsibility for the coordination of learning activities, development of course content and assisting other faculty and students in the teaching, learning process. The Health Sciences Faculty will be responsible for providing counseling and guidance to students and conducting formal classes as assigned.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop and deliver lectures and course materials on health-related subjects.
- Prepare and grade exams, assignments, and other assessments.
- Conduct original research and publish findings in academic journals.
- Supervise student research projects and theses.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career matters.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field.
- Collaborate with colleagues on research and educational projects.
- Serve on academic and administrative committees.
- Seek and manage research funding and grants.
- Organize and participate in academic conferences and seminars. Stay updated with the latest advancements in health sciences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Health Sciences or related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Health Sciences or related fields.
- Experience in teaching and course development.
- Teaching responsibilities at a college/university level is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to walk short distances
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items
- Ability to view a computer terminal
