What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant/Associate/Professor Small Animal Critical Care position at tuskegee?
The clinician will work with other faculty/interns to provide clinical emergency service, after-hours patient care for hospitalized patients, and clinical supervision and teaching of veterinary students, technicians, and interns assigned to emergency services. The ECC clinicians will consult with referring veterinarians and clients and oversee all aspects of emergency case management including diagnostic evaluations, medical or surgical therapy, intensive care and monitoring, client communications, and necessary follow-up procedures for emergency cases. The clinician will coordinate the Emergency and Critical Care rotation for senior students including didactic and laboratory series in emergency medicine and work closely with faculty in providing continuity of patient care and service to clients. The faculty in this position will be responsible for administration of the Emergency and Critical Care Service and coordinating the emergency schedules for the service with faculty.
