What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Functioning Skills Tutor position at Tutor Doctor Wayne & Oakland Counties MI?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to provide in-person support for two high school students (10th and 11th grade) in Math, ELA, and Skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, the ability to engage and motivate students, and experience in helping students develop organization, time management, and study strategies.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in high school-level Math and ELA
- Experience with executive functioning skill development (preferred)
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience required
- Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment
- Reliable transportation to Birmingham, MI
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and academic support in Math and ELA
- Help students build executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, and study strategies
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
- Communicate progress and challenges with parents/guardians as needed
