- Purchasing & Vendor Management: Source and procure parts and materials from a range of vendors. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs and ensure consistent supply.
- Inventory Control: Track and manage inventory levels, implement best practices in stock organization, and maintain accurate records to support production needs.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, operations) to forecast demand, schedule production batches, and ensure timely availability of parts.
- Parts Preparation & Coordination: Oversee incoming parts, prepare and kit them for production, and troubleshoot any supply or quality issues that may arise.
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (preferably in a manufacturing or hardware startup environment).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills; fluency in Mandarin is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic production planning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of 3D printing is a bonus.
- Mandarin Communication: Communicate effectively with Chinese vendors (Mandarin fluency highly preferred) to streamline purchasing, resolve issues quickly, and build strong supplier relationships.
- 3D Printing Knowledge: Leverage 3D printing expertise to prototype parts, troubleshoot printer issues, and contribute to iterative product improvements.
