DESCRIPTION :
In the role of Human Resources Generalist (HRG) with Fisk Electric, you will report to the Human Resources Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting in our day-to-day HR operations. You will ensure that we are compliant with all federal and state regulations. The HRG must have a customer service mindset, as this role will interact with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as outside vendors.
- Must be extremely organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and verify the completeness of all documentation pertaining to new hires, activate and process new hire paperwork, obtain signature approvals, coordinate with Payroll Department and other internal resources.
- Process W-4 / State withholding / Direct Deposit / WOTC.
- Perform and manage E-Verify processing; TNC's, I-9 documentation, ongoing I-9 audits and maintenance.
- JD Edwards live data entry
- Support compliance-related processes including leave tracking and communication.
- Assist with resolving employee relations issues including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Act as a performance improvement driver for individuals and teams and provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identify training needs for individuals, teams, and business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Assist with Workday Implementation testing as needed.
- Consult with senior-level HR when availed of employee relations issues.
