What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Instructor/Lead position at Tutor Zone?
After-school math tutoring for grades K-8th through a partnership with the ABC Unified School District. Shifts will ideally be 2 hours a day between 1-4 p.m. and can be done 2-5 days a week, depending on the instructors' availability. We are teaching math foundations after school at the actual school sites in this district which can be in Artesia, Cerritos, and Hawaiian Gardens and portions of Lakewood, Long Beach, and Norwalk. The classes will have a maximum of 15 students and our company offers the curriculum. A mandatory 3 hour paid training prior to the start of classes in early January. Training is paid at $17/hour.
This position will be consistent from December 2024 - late May 2025, depending on the district's schedule, with the option of joining our or in-person teams at our Whittier location after.
We are also looking for a Site Lead, that will assist instructors in their daily routine, help in behavior management, be a contact for the school, and help with any issues that may arise.
