What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Tutor position at Tutoring Club of Corona?

The Job: We are seeking caring, patient, and fun instructors who can work with students attending Kinder through 6th grade in areas such as reading, writing, and math. Tutoring Club tutors care about students and their success in school. They love teaching and are passionate about learning; they are energetic and enthusiastic, highly skilled and motivated, professional and outgoing, patient and creative, and dependable and versatile; and have great communication skills and a genuine appreciation for working with children and young adults.
Schedule: Must be available for some of the following: Monday through Thursday 2:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 9:30am-12:30pm.
Compensation: This is a great opportunity to earn extra income and to grow with us as we grow. Beginning pay is dependent on experience and subjects taught.
Minimum Qualifications: Previous teaching experience is not required but is a plus. However, previous tutoring experience, thorough content knowledge, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university (or currently a strong student in year 3 of a degree program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree), and an engaging, motivating personality are required. Candidate must live in close proximity to our center.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
