DESCRIPTION:

As a Cost Engineer at WDF Inc., reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Creating and issuing subcontractor commitments including all required insurance start up and owner approval process
• Responsible for takeoff (as required for change order verification) budget creation, Proposal Reviews, and coordination with all stakeholders, ensuring tasks projects are completed, including coordination with estimating department, field operation team and project controls
• Reporting and issuance of monthly progress reports to owner
• Management of T&M process
• Input, monitoring, and implementation of the JDE cost reports
• Responsible for drafting letters / notices to owner & subcontractors for Senior Project Manager & Project Executive review / approval
• Review all owner notices and properly document and assess impacts (cost & schedule) for review with the project team
• Development and management of all subcontract provisions with subcontract terms and condition language and coordination for subcontract final approval
• Assists Senior Project Manager on all project compliance requirements
• Project Compliance Coordinator
• Jobsite contact point for onboarding, development for subcontractor/vendor payment process and accounting reporting accuracy
• Jobsite lead for all JDE entries
• All project Cost Reporting via Procore system
• Potential Change Order (PCO) Log
• Maintain PCO Tracking and execution of all project change requests from inception to final execution (owner & subcontractor)
• Management of Subcontract Agreement / PO document packaging, issuance & execution process
• Estimating / quantity take-offs for PCOs.  Solid negotiation skills to resolve subcontractor PCOs
• Experienced in both the preconstruction phase and project execution

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or financial management for construction infrastructure or building projects
• Proficient in cost management software (Procore) and cost estimating tools and software, including Excel, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience working with NJ Transit, GDC, or similar transit agencies preferred
• Excellent written and verbal skills

The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $137,000 depending on experience
