Tutti Music Academy (TMA) is an online music school focused on teaching the fundamentals of music to aspiring musicians in elementary and middle school. Our platform not only offers online music lessons but also connects students with qualified high-school music tutors for affordable in-person lessons, making music education accessible to all.
Role Description
This is a contract role for a Music Instructor at Tutti Music Academy. The Music Instructor will be responsible for teaching their instrument of choice, guiding students in achieving their musical goals, and fostering a love for music right at their homes.
Music instructors (aka tutors) will be responsible for maintaining communication with students’ parents/guardians, arranging lesson times, reporting to the directors at TMA, and providing a safe, comfortable learning space.
Tutors can work either at an hourly rate OR for volunteer hours. They are responsible for recording lesson dates and reporting the revenue earned or hours obtained to the directors at TMA.
Important Notes:
- All lessons must be held in-person either at the instructor or the student’s home
- Tutors must negotiate with directors at the TMA about their hourly rate before being connected to students in the TMA network
- Tutors are in control of the number of students they teach; however, they must report to the directors when a student leaves their tutorship
- Tutors connect with their students via the TMA website's Linkup Feature; therefore, no extra effort in reaching out to the community is needed!
Qualifications
- must be in high school (ages 15-18)
- able to teach kids ages 6-13
- at least 4 years of experience playing an instrument
- strong passion for music and education
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
