SUMMARY
Commercial Order Process (“COP”) is a critical performance process within TUV Rheinland responsible for order creation, order management and invoicing. The COP Specialist is a dynamic and high-impact position designed to ensure accurate, timely order set-up and billing to clients. Ideal candidate must have a strong attention to detail and compliance with an openness to change and a desire to improve processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Focusing primarily on China, Indonesia, India and Taiwan product and initial factory certification:
- Initiate client contact as well as explore incoming requests to offer comprehensive TUV support services.
- Coordinate with testing labs and TUV International Affiliates to meet project goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with TUV affiliate subcontracting bodies and clients, assuring priority handling of needs. Assure clear understanding of goals and objectives and support navigating complex international requirements.
- Bill order lines upon completion of underlying work.
- Maintain active orders ensuring billing schedules, status, underlying purchase orders, etc are actively managed in the system.
- Co-ordinate the issuance of subcontractor purchase orders underlying client orders.
- Work together with customers and TUV staff to resolve or coordinate resolution of customer billing complaints.
- Aid in collection efforts for certain accounts when and if requested by Controller.
- Collaborate with COP Manager to recommend continuous COP process improvements.
- Assist with the compilation of any support required for both internal and external audits.
- Provide ad-hoc support for special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Educate clients in international certification requirements. Provide ongoing informational support to reinforce dependency on TUV, based on responsiveness, technical knowledge and ease of achieving certification goals.

Experience
- Computer literacy required including Microsoft Office applications.
- Minimum of 2 years order processing, invoicing or other related administrative work experience preferred.
