Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and critical care medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries regarding medications and health-related questions.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques while preparing sterile products to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications as needed.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
- Proficiency in medication administration procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
