A Materials Analyst is responsible for scheduling, planning, shipping/receiving, and inventory record adjustments and control customer parts and supplies.
Essential Functions

- Monitor trucking schedules and perform check-in/check-out procedures for all truck drivers
- Document and investigate any materials issues communicated by customer
- Communicate issues to appropriate TVS personnel
- Maintain various computerized reports, charts and graphs
- Perform cycle counts as required
- Analyze reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continual improvement
- Ensure timely receipt of materials to support the production schedule
- Ensure accuracy of data in system, including location, quantity on hand, value, etc.
- Ensure all customer orders are shipped promptly, accurately and with all necessary documentation
- Track meaningful departmental reports and metrics
- Monitor supplier performance including on-time delivery and quality
- Work with supplier representatives on quality issues
- Regular and reliable attendance at work

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes and safety vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Travel
No travel is expected.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of shipping/receiving experience is required
- Inventory management experience is required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience with WMS systems is required
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
