Summary
This role serves as a key stakeholder responsible for driving continuous improvement across the organization. This person will be an experienced, dynamic, results-driven, and culture-driven individual who will drive strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Knowledge of Lean methodologies will fuel productivity and drive culture and performance improvement. This role reports to the VP of Operational Excellence.
Essential Functions

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting employee engagement and participation.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation, coaching and mentoring teams and individuals on continuous improvement practices.
- Establish, maintain, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies and tools, including value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other activities to drive process improvements and reduce waste.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of changes, utilize data-driven decision-making to prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively by tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Continually analyze performance metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Engage cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans, communicating changes effectively to all stakeholders and providing necessary training and resources.
- Prepare and present reports on continuous improvement initiatives to operations leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Participate in all TVS SCS quality and excellence initiatives.
Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to different working environments, working efficiently to drive success while building relationships.
- Proficient firsthand experience with preferred methods, MOST and MTM time studies, and managing performance and planning tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and Access, as well as AutoCAD, SQL, and simulation tools.
- Ability to develop short and long-range project planning and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to set and exceed ambitious goals with a relentless drive for results, combining a strong sense of urgency on key initiatives with exceptional follow-through, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
- Experience writing procedures, work instructions, and other related documents.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong financial acumen - a thorough understanding of budgets, cost models, P&Ls, and cost analysis processes, with the ability to create ROI financial models.
- Knowledgeable of ISO guidelines for documentation, process, and leading an organization to successful ISO certification.

Work Environment
A significant portion of this job is performed in a warehouse environment, subject to seasonal temperatures and regular exposure to forklift traffic. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when in a warehouse location.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Travel
This position will travel between locations as required, up to 50% of the time within North America.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree - Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or combination of education and work experience
- 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean methodologies, and change management within a supply chain environment.
- Experienced in project management methodologies to develop solution-driven strategy plans, implementing business requirements analysis and testing processes, and identifying timeline constraints and risks.
- Certification in Lean Kaizen or Six Sigma, preferred.
