Position Summary:
The School Operations and Events Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the seamless planning and execution of all school events, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the school’s master calendar, managing centralized purchasing, and driving operational excellence. This individual will take ownership of key logistical functions, set high standards for efficiency and accountability, and deliver results that support the school’s mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Logistics Management
- Own the planning, coordination, and execution of all school events, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
- Directly manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to ensure timely and quality delivery of goods and services.
- Oversee all event logistics, including facilities setup, catering, AV support, and post-event evaluations, holding all contributors accountable for their roles.
- Establish and enforce event planning timelines and processes, ensuring clear accountability and proactive problem-solving.
Master Calendar Oversight
- Take full responsibility for maintaining and managing the school’s master calendar, ensuring all events, meetings, and activities are accurately scheduled and well-coordinated.
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and resource allocation issues.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of calendar updates to all stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Continuously seek to improve operational workflows and administrative processes, driving efficiency across teams.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, including contracts, schedules, and documentation for operational and event activities.
- Hold team members and departments accountable for meeting administrative deadlines and deliverables.
Centralized Purchasing
- Oversee and manage all centralized purchasing, ensuring cost-effective procurement of supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Implement and monitor procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Regularly evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal outcomes for the school.
Leadership and Communication
- Act as the key point of accountability for operational and event-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
- Foster collaboration between departments, holding teams accountable for their roles in achieving operational goals.
- Regularly report on progress, metrics, and outcomes of operations and events to senior leadership.
Performance and Accountability
- Set and enforce performance standards for event execution, calendar management, and purchasing efficiency.
- Monitor budgets and ensure financial accountability across all operational and event activities.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations, event planning, or facilities management, preferably in a school, nonprofit, or educational environment.
- Experience managing large-scale events, coordinating logistics, and overseeing operational workflows.
- Proven experience in supervising staff and managing teams.

TVT Community Day School offers a competitive hourly rate for this role, ranging from $28.00 to $34.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to equitable compensation and is designed to attract highly qualified candidates.
