Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the supply chain process, with a strong focus on global sourcing, logistics, and supplier management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the valve industry, a proven track record in global sourcing, and strong negotiation skills. This position will be based in Houston, Texas, with up to 50% travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure reliable, high-quality product sourcing.
- Lead and execute global sourcing strategies, driving cost reductions, and improving supplier performance.
- Coordinate and manage both domestic and international logistics, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, procurement, and operations) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage supply chain activities, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable domestic and international trade regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
- Maintain a high level of communication with internal teams to ensure all supply chain needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in the valve industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific supply chain challenges.
- Proven track record in global sourcing, including vendor management, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in logistics, with a strong understanding of both domestic and international regulations.
- ERP experience with systems such as Epicor (preferred), Syteline (Infor), SAP, or Oracle.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Strong team player, able to collaborate across multiple departments and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Based in Stafford, Texas, with the ability to travel up to 50% for supplier visits, conferences, and other business needs.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Multilingual skills, especially in Spanish and/or Mandarin, are a plus.
