Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing the front desk operations in our pediatric office. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with health information management systems. The Medical Receptionist will ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out while maintaining accurate medical records.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Handle phone inquiries, including appointment scheduling and general questions about services.
- Verify insurance coverage.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Ensure compliance with health information management policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a clinic setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
