Piano/Vocal Instructor - Part Time - Glenview, IL
Twelve Tone Music School is looking for a charismatic and energetic piano/voice instructor.

We offer:
- Part Time teaching schedule (includes Saturday 10:00am - 3:00pm)
- $25-$30 per hour

Teacher Requirements:
- A background in music with the ability to play piano up to intermediate level and voice up to intermediate/advanced level.
- Some formal music training required; higher degree in music, education and/or performing arts a plus.
- Experience teaching both private and group classes.
- Ability to follow a prewritten curriculum.
- Experience or familiarity with music technology that includes but is not limited to hooking up and connecting keyboards and microphones to digital devices or learning programs to help run classes and events. Also able to learn and use our proprietary LMS systems.
- Ability to teach a class of up to 4 students.
- Ability to arrange music.
- Work with the school's directors to prepare students for showcases and events.
- Willing and able to work a number of student showcases and events throughout the year.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all Twelve Tone Music School students, staff and parents.
- Able to motivate students and encourage progress while ensuring a friendly and outgoing creative environment.
- Enjoys being around children in a fun, personable and outgoing atmosphere while nurturing creative growth.
- Must pass a background check.
- Ability, at times, to lift up to 50 lbs.
