We currently have openings for a full-time Patient Care Pharmacy Technician I - IC Pharmacy Operations position of Murfreesboro, TN.
Summary: This position will be responsible for data entry of prescriptions for patients seen at our Infusion Centers (IC’s). Collaborates with the IC Clinical Staffs to assist with weekly scheduled patients. Utilize multiple communication and software systems to complete patient care workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Enter medication orders for new referrals. Process subsequent refills for appointments per Infusion Center schedules. Process all Pharmacy Rx claims. Establish and maintain professional working relationships with the IC Pharmacists, technicians, and IC staff to assist in facilitating an accurate workflow.
- Contact Physicians’ Offices daily for new orders, and pre-medications as needed. Collaborate with Purchasing, IC Pharmacy, and IC staff to identify any concerns or delays within the department and prioritize them to improve patient care workflow.
- Assist management in developing new and updating current IC policies, procedures, and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician (PT) license in the state of practice, and Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required.
Experience: Two plus years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred. Home Infusion pharmacy experience preferred. Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
