Job Description
The System Administrator will support AEM’s client project and will be tasked with Operating and Maintaining existing Windows and Linux based services in a managed Azure environment. The candidate will perform Windows and Linux systems administrator activities and application configuration tasks. The role of the System Administrator is to provide technical expertise and ensure seamless delivery for all enterprise services supporting the client’s backend services. You will be responsible for the migration, installation, and configuration of applications, operating systems, and supporting services the client’s managed systems. In addition, you may be required to integrate with Azure based service components to include network, file, and database to the Azure environment.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with the client’s enterprise security policies and controls to include logging configuration, regular patching, and access controls. The candidate will possess a wide range of skills and knowledge in operating systems, cloud services and applications to be able to implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems that support the backend services.
Basic qualifications/experience (the required qualifications which are critical to be considered for the position:

Basic qualifications/experience (the required qualifications which are critical to be considered for the position:
- 3 years of experience supporting various Windows Server operating systems including 2016 and 2019.
- 1 years of experience supporting Linux-based operating systems to include RHEL 9.
- Experience designing, evaluating, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Experience working with Active Directory to include computer and user management, group policies, and license management.
- Experience working with patching and securing systems in a government environment.
- Certs: ITIL Foundations, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate desired but not required.
- Associates Degree or minimum of 3 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
- Ability to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship.
- This position will be subject to a government “Position of Trust” (5C) and background investigation.
- Experience with Azure administration expertise to include provisioning of servers, storage, and databases.
- Experience with configuring and implementing IIS and web service applications.
- Experience with standard enterprise change management procedures and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and related remote desktop technologies.
- Knowledge of Windows DNS and DHCP services and general network troubleshooting practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with both internal/external customer/staff
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance providing excellent customer service always, to include maintaining a good work ethic and assisting other analysts when needed.
- Performs advanced troubleshooting and remediation activities.
