SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for protecting all Tribal property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing standby and security functions. May respond to medical situations and render preliminary first aid to patrons and employees. In addition, we strive to deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS A PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER II:

- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.

- Provide general security services for the protection of tribal members, tribal property, guests, and employees.
- Document suspicious persons and/or activities on prescribed departmental forms.
- Perform gaming related standbys, carries out chip transfers, and stands security posts.
- Inspect assigned areas for security and/or safety breaches and report any potential situations to Sergeant.
- Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff.
- Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at Casino to maintain orderly flow.
- Provide preliminary first aid instructions before paramedics arrive.
- Issue and receive security passes and maintain visitor log.
- Possesses knowledge of Casino services and promotions and the location thereof.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
ESSENTIAL EMT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN EMT:

- Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards. This entails consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized and Valued.
- Determines the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishes priority for required emergency care.
- Renders emergency medical care to adult, infant and child, medical and trauma patients.
- Emergency medical care may include opening and maintaining an airway, ventilating patients, cardiopulmonary resuscitation by using automated external defibrillators, and assisting in childbirth.
- Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care for simple and multiple system trauma such as controlling hemorrhage(s), bandaging wounds, immobilizing painful and/or deformed extremities.
- Searches for medical identification emblem as a clue in providing emergency care.
- Determine whether a patient needs to be taken to an Emergency Room or a trauma center.
- Provides additional care based on assessment of the patient and medical history information.
- Assist patients with prescribed medications including sublingual nitroglycerin, epinephrine auto-injectors, and hand-held aerosol inhalers.
- Reassures patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.

This job does not require supervisory duties.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Stress management and situational awareness skills.
- Should possess 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
- Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
- Must obtain and maintain a CPR First Aid Certification and AED
- Must possess and maintain a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Guard Card.
- Must possess and maintain a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Exposed Firearms Permit.
- Must possess a Baton certification.
- Must possess a Pepper Spray certification.
- Must possess valid State of California or National Registry EMT license along with CPR provider card.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions, and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

- Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
- Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
- Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
- Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
- Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
