This position is responsible for managing all casino promotions, special events, and sponsored events. In addition, we strive to deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. - Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
- Lead by example and carry out our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by fulfilling our Mission Statement, Service Promise and following department service standards. This entails consistency performing our service expectations of: Welcoming, Proactive, Seamless, Personalized and Valued.
- Continually coach and support Team Members to ensure they have the skills, tools and resources to successfully complete their jobs, including the delivering of the Five Star Experience expectations.
- Collaborates with management to help build Marketing strategic plan/calendar, budgets, and summary briefs for each individual project in alignment with property goals.
- Maintains promotional calendars for both the Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino.
- Develops, plan, and execute all promotions, special events, and off-property events to promote both or either casino.
- Is responsible for gaming submissions on events and promotions.
- Ensuring the implementation, coordination, and execution of all casino promotions, special events, player development events, golf tournaments.
- Oversees the day to day operations of the promotions team at both properties.
- Create effective and efficient schedules, while managing labor cost, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
- Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
- Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
- Enhance guest interactions by providing a friendly greeting, offering directions, answering questions, making announcements, and creating an upbeat and positive atmosphere.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Manage promotional campaigns from concept through execution.
- Assist with the design and implementation of monthly promotions.
- VIP concert ticket management on and off site.
- Manages Promotion Representatives as well as any promotional or special event support staff.
- Develop strong relationships and proactively communicates with internal and external teams to drive collaboration.
- Obtain sequential sign-offs on all proofs moving in and out of the department.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Organize and maintain file system, and file correspondence and other records.
- Review and proofread in English and Spanish a variety of information to ensure accuracy of information, consistency with administrative policy, format, and grammatical correctness.
- Compile and verify accuracy for promotional record keeping to include promotional logs, W9s, photocopies of winner’s IDs, and other materials related to promotions.
- Dress in business casual/attire based upon event/venue, occasionally a costume may be used.
- Coordinates with all internal departments such as F&B, Hotel, Security, and Facilities, as well as external vendors, to prepare all necessary items and schedule sufficient staffing for promotions, events relatively.
- Maintain excellent communications with all Directors and Supervisors.
- Implements approved departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure the budget for the department is monitored and adhered to by implementing effective processes and procedures.
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
- Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implement practices that promote safety, quality and productivity.
- Help coordinate and supervise training, assignments and development of subordinates.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
- Able to make difficult decision in a fair and honest manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage directly and indirectly all employees of the Marketing Promotions Department. Adhere to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):
- High School Degree (or GED)
- Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
- Gaming industry experience is preferred.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills, in English, on the telephone and in person.
- Outstanding organizational skills; must be able to multi-task.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
- Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

- Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
- Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
- Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
- Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
- Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
