A leading financial services firm is seeking a Private Equity Fund Accountant to join its growing team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in fund administration, who is looking to take on greater responsibility in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Reporting to the Director of Fund Accounting, the successful candidate will oversee the daily administration of investment funds, ensuring accurate financial reporting and seamless client service.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Reporting:
- Perform and review accurate Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for investment funds.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting requirements as outlined in fund documentation.
- Maintain expertise in fund accounting for various investment types, including direct investments, equity, debt, derivatives, and fund-of-funds.
- Work with diverse fund structures, such as master/feeder funds, multi-currency funds, SPVs, and sidecars.
Fund Operations & Client Deliverables:
- Prepare and review schedules for capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
- Support the audit process, including the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of all internal and external reporting requirements.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
Key Requirements
Experience:
- At least three years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private equity.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including familiarity with current reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and fund accounting software.
Education & Certifications:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage but not required.
