Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Development to lead and expand our fundraising and donor relations efforts. This senior leadership role will oversee all development initiatives, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, planned giving, and annual campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building long-term donor relationships, and working closely with board members, senior leadership, and staff to advance the organization’s mission. The Senior Director will manage and mentor a development team, create comprehensive strategies, and represent the organization to external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, prospects, and key stakeholders
- Lead and support a high-performing development team
- Oversee grant writing and corporate giving programs
- Collaborate with senior leadership and board to align fundraising with organizational priorities
- Provide regular reports and updates to leadership on fundraising progress
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor relations
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to manage and grow a development team
