What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) Weekends! position at TWI?
· Provides quality care to program participants in an environment that promotes their rights, freedom of choice and individuality.
· Must become knowledgeable about the Individual Service Plan (ISP) and provide care according to the participants plan.
· Responsible for maintaining the comfort and privacy of the participants in the delivery of care, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, and assistance with communicating their needs.
· Performing household responsibilities of the program, which may include assistance with grocery lists in conjunction with dietary needs, grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, and cleaning of the home.
· Completes necessary documentation according to the standards required by TWi.
· Assists with processing of Unusual and Major Unusual Incidents that may occur in program.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with participants, colleagues, family members, guardians, case workers, and community members.
· Provides crisis assistance for individuals as may be necessary. Assists in training of individuals.
· Responsible for providing transportation for participants to appointments, errands, and community events. This includes walks around the neighborhood for community interaction.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
