What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) position at TWI?
Summary: Provides training, support, and development in our vocational day service program including planning and implementing person centered plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Operation of a computer, phone and office equipment for business, light lifting associated with day to day operations, good communication skills and ability to drive a vehicle.
· Provides vocational training, support, and supervision to the participants in the day program according to their Individual Service Plan. Ensures that community outings are person centered and are according to participant choice by maintaining a log of requested outings.
· Provides programming to participants who attend at the site.
· Safely transports participants as assigned by Supervisor.
· Ensures that daily safety checks of vehicles prior to vehicle operation to ensure the health and safety of all on the vehicles.
· Follows organizational procedures and policies.
· Utilizes proper lifting techniques in carrying out job responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
