Director of Engineering (engineering & defense/weapons manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the engineering department (4 Direct/15 Indirect)
- Establish and enforce engineering standards and guidelines
- Investigate and resolve issues by identifying and addressing root causes
- Interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and requirements
- Drive internal research and development efforts for new products
- Lead internal initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency
- Ensure project specifications adhere to top-quality standards
- Promote and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility
- Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and resource constraints
- Meet with stakeholders to review program status and goals
- Monitor and manage the department budget
- Travel as necessary (<10%) for customer and vendor meetings
Director of Engineering (engineering & defense/weapons manufacturing exp. req.) Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- People leadership experience required
- 10 years of engineering experience required
- 3 years of defense or weapons manufacturing experience (i.e. missiles, firearms, etc.) required
